My journey with coffee did not begin behind a bar, but in the mountains of El Salvador: Chalatenango, Concepcion de Ataco, Apaneca, walking historic trails and meeting the people who are the true driving force of my country. After years of leading international tourism projects and representing El Salvador on global stages like Paris and London, circumstances regarding my safety brought me to relocate to this city three years ago.

Arriving in London meant a fresh start. After two years of necessary silence—a time to observe and heal—I felt an overwhelming urge to start again and speak about what I love: my people, our traditions, and our food. That is how La Ruta Coffee was born.

For us, Salvadoran specialty coffee is not just a beverage; it is a bridge. It is the most honest way I found to bring you the flavours of Chalatenango and the warmth of our culture. We have integrated our passion for travel and our voice in the magazine under the single name where it all began.

Ultimately, coffee was the perfect excuse to reconnect with my roots and share them with you. Every cup is an invitation to discover the history of a country that always looks forward, yet never forgets where it came from.
